President and CEO of cei (Coating Excellence International), Mike Nowak has announced recent additions to the company’s executive leadership team. Julie Piton, C.P.A. joined cei as CFO in June 2012. She was most recently vice president, finance and administration and CFO at AtriCure, Inc., a medical device company and a leader in cardiac surgical ablation systems for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and systems for the exclusion of the left atrial appendage. Jeffrey Tritapoe joined cei as COO in September 2012, having previously been director of operations at Silgan Plastics Corporation. Prior to that, Tritapoe held various positions with Berry Plastics, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of value-added plastic consumer packaging and engineered materials, where he was responsible for the plastics operations in Danville, KY. Lorna Hay joined cei in September 2012, as executive vice president of sales and marketing, after building and energizing a number of packaging sales forces, most recently at Tegrant ThermoSafe Brands. ThermoSafe designs and manufactures temperature assured packaging within Cold Chain supply for the Pharmaceutical markets where she managed the global commercial team with emphasis on securing geographic penetration in North America, Europe and Asia. George Landes, Jr., joined cei in August 2012 as senior vice president sales food flexible packaging. In this position, he is responsible for the Food Flexible Sales Group, growing cei’s flexible packaging business, and achieving cei’s vision of being a top ten US flexible packager. Mr. Landes has extensive experience in flexible packaging and management, having come to cei from Polycello, an extruder of polyethylene films and a flexographic converter focused primarily on the frozen food, tissue and toilet paper overwrap, frozen fish, and pet food markets. cei is an industry leading flexible packaging and technical products company specializing in wide web extrusion coating and laminating of film, foil, paper, board and nonwovens.
